Growing Up & Growing Out

So, I know it's been a while since my last blog, but you all must understand the busy life of a mother! Sheesh. Anyway, today is special b/c it's Felicity's 2 Month Birthday! Wow... I just can't believe it's been 2 months since that day back when we were all in the hospital room holding my little precious one who had just entered the world! Boy, how time flies!

Well, she is growing up and DEFINITELY growing out! This little chunker is now a whopping 14.4 lbs! Yes, i know... she's bigger than the average bear, but she's also cuter too! (All 53 of her rolls.)

So let me just tell you what i've discovered about diapers. Huggies vs, Pampers:

DEFINITELY PAMPERS. Hands down.

I tell you what. I just want to thank the Pampers company for creating "Pampers Swaddlers." They were invented, I believe, with really gassy babies like mine in mind. Yes. I admit it. Felicity is very gassy. Poor thing. She rarely cries, but when she does we know her cry. It's gas. I got her some infant's "Mylicone" which are drops that relieve gas. Sheeee needs them. And they work. So, anyway... back to pampers swaddlers. They are the BEST diaper I have tried on her ever. Huggies - FORGET IT. I even tried "Huggies Supreme" which is supposed to be better than the swaddlers, but no no. They are not. Let me just give you a quick example...

Today I was getting ready to give Felicity a bath. I needed to change her diaper, so we went to her changing table and I didn't want to risk NOT putting a diaper on her while I got her bath ready b/c I figured she would pee everywhere, but I didn't want to waste a good pampers diaper for only a few minutes, so I put a huggies diaper on her. (I had some left over from baby showers) Anyway I put a huggies diaper on her, then layed her down on a blanket in the living room. I went and got her bath ready and came back in the living room and wouldn't you know but she was laying in a puddle of pee! The huggies diaper LEAKED! Within MINUTES! Cah-razy! Just goes to show you how wonderful Pampers swaddlers are and huggies are not!

Anyway, back to my chunky little girl. She's so big! When I take her places people think she's 3 or 4 months. Sometimes I forget myself that she's still so young. She is just so long and so... plump! It's adorable though. At her 6 week pediatrician apt. she weighed 12lbs 8 oz and was 24 inches long. She has another apt. this monday so I can't wait to see how long she is. It's also the apt. where she will get all her shots. :o( i'm not looking forward to seeing her in pain. But, I know it must be done!

Anyway, hopefully I will be on blogger more often. I will really try. I'm also back to work now! I work Wednesdays and Thursdays. Work is where I used to do all my blogging, but now that i'm only there 2 days a week, I will be so busy with work that i won't have time for blogging, so hopefully the days that i'm home I will be able to get on a little and blog. We'll see! It's just so hard to pay attention to other things when Felicity requires so much of me! Oh, the joys of being a Mommie! I LOVE IT! It's the best thing in the world!

Oh, she's also been cooing a WHOLE LOT lately! I really think she will be talking a lot sooner than the norm. She's amazing. She's very smart and advanced! :o) I will be doing a "photo shoot" on each of her birth months. I tried to put her 2 month pic on this blog, but once again, blogger won't let me, so click this link to see it! It's one of the many I took this morning. Hope you like! She's so much fun!

K Bye! :o)
